Our Cat. 3 team performed well at the state championship road race on Saturday. Will Hanson spent three laps off the front in the winning break, with the rest of the team right behind in what was left of the main field.
2nd place - Will Hanson
4th place - Mark Albrecht
5th place - Steve Albrecht
10th place - Scott Preston (who also deserves a big nod for leading Mark out at the end).
Good results in the Cat. 4 field as well, with Ty Hansen finishing 9th, and Peter McMullin coming in 10th.
Megan Burger finished 6th in the Cat. 4 women race.
Congratulations to everyone who came out and represented the team. It was a hot day on a tough course. A big thanks also to the support crews* who were busy handing bottles to anyone in a Revolution kit and a lot of racers who weren't.
*Extremely patient wives who not only tolerate husbands racing nearly every weekend, but who are also willing to wrangle kids for three hours during the race AND still manage flawless handups in the feed zones.
